Buy Cheap Stuff Online and Save Money

Buy Cheap Stuff Online and Save Money

With little effort, you can save money by shopping online.

Every day we read in the paper that the economy is getting shaky with layoffs, increasing prices and the housing market crisis. When times get tough and income stagnates, you have to reduce expenses to continue to make ends meet. In this day and age, with the economy what it is, buying cheap stuff online is one way to make your money go further. In the brick and mortar world, the best way to get a great deal is to go around from store to store looking for the best deals. It takes a lot of time and if you are persistent, you can find great deals and save enough money to make it worthwhile. With the way the economy is heading, you are probably using this tactic already with some success.

Now, we have a new tool in our money saving arsenal. We can buy cheap stuff online and have it delivered right to our door. With the countless number of online retailers selling your favorite products, this competition pushes prices down to the lowest possible level and this
means savings for you. Even with shipping, you can buy cheaper online then at your local stores.

There are several ways to find the best buys online. Some of them are easier than others, but all of them give you a way to save plenty of money. Simply searching for your favorite products one by one on Google is a good way to find the different retailers offering your favorite products for sale. With a good list of retailers, you can start narrowing down the list by price. Google has special tools to help you find even cheaper prices if you explore them.

Another great option is to look for a general retailer site like Amazon. Amazon has many different products for sale in many different categories. The products are delivered right to your house and you can even read reviews of the products before you buy them. On these general retailer sites, the choice is endless and you can make a truly informed
decision to save money buying stuff online.

Auction sites like eBay give you the best possible price because you are the person deciding how much to pay. You bid what you want to pay and if you win the auction, then you get to buy the product at your bid. EBay is like a combination of your favorite shopping mall mixed with a flea market. You’ll find great buys on new and used stuff at cheap prices.

If you buy cheap online, you really can make ends meet in this difficult economic landscape.

Michael Jackson Estate Plans To Sell Clothing, Downloads And More

Merchandise rollout includes everything from Second Life tattoos to a museum exhibition.

By Gil Kaufman

Considering the reported $400 million in debt he carried at the time of his death, it’s no wonder the administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate are planning to roll out tons of merchandise to cash in on the current interest in the late pop star.

According to a Los Angeles Times report, estate administrators have sketched out plans for everything from a major motion picture to a TV special, tribute concert and reams of MJ tie-ins ranging from Second Life-ready tattoos to high-end clothing and USB drives.

A court filing from last week by Jeryll S. Cohen, a lawyer for estate administrators John Branca and John McClain, said they anticipate the various products could generate tens of millions of dollars for the singer’s estate. The papers were dated July 6, 12 days after the singer’s death at the age of 50. The details of the multiple deals were redacted in the 500-plus-page court filing that was made public on Tuesday at a hearing in which Jackson’s mother withdrew her bid to become one of the administrators of his estate.

Among the known deals is the $60 million pact with Columbia Pictures to make a feature-length movie out of the more than 100 hours of high-definition footage of rehearsals for Jackson’s planned This Is It 50-date residency at the O2 arena in London. Jackson’s estate would receive 90 percent of the profit from the film, with the remainder going to concert promoter AEG Live. There are also plans for a soundtrack, a director’s-cut DVD, two special editions of the film after its theatrical run and a stipulation that Branca and McClain can produce at least one tribute concert as long as the broadcast doesn’t interfere with the film rollout.

A wide-ranging deal with merchandising powerhouse Bravado highlights plans to produce a wide variety of Jackson-related memorabilia, from photo books and trading cards to lithographs, buttons, live recordings on USB drives, online games and denim and high-end clothing. There are also proposals for digital clothing, tattoos and accessories for VR worlds like Second Life and Stardoll, embossed wine decanters, theme packs for the Xbox and wallpaper and screensavers for cell phones.

Among the other plans is a proposal for a traveling “MJ Exhibition” of memorabilia from the late singer to be shown at museums, which will also be accompanied by exhibition-related merchandise. A petition filed by Cohen on Monday also mentions a deal “very favorable for the estate,” with iTunes parent company Apple Inc. for the promotion and distribution of Jermaine Jackson’s rendition of “Smile,” which Michael’s brother performed at his memorial service.

All the plans are subject to the approval of a Los Angeles probate judge who, according to the Times, will review the documents at a hearing Monday.

Week Ending July 5, 2009: All Michael, All The Time

Posted Wed Jul 8, 2009 11:47am PDT by Paul Grein

Michael Jackson has three of the five best-selling albums in the U.S. for the second week in a row. Number Ones sold 339,000 copies this week and would have held at #1 on The Billboard 200 if catalog albums were eligible to compete on that chart. (The 2003 compilation sold a little more than twice as many copies this week as NOW 31, the album that holds the #1 spot.) Thriller sold 187,000 copies and would have jumped from #3 to #2 if catalog albums were invited to the party. The Essential Michael Jackson sold 125,000 copies and would have dropped from #2 to #5. (Billboard excludes catalog albums from the big chart on the theory that new albums need the spotlight the chart provides more than past hits do.)

Jackson’s catalog of solo albums sold 800,000 copies this week, up from 422,000 copies last week. (This was the first full week following Jackson’s death on June 25. Last week’s total reflected just four days of sales.) Billboard reports that 82% of the Jackson albums sold this week were CDs (vs. digital downloads). Last week, 43% of the Jackson albums sold were CDs. I think this shows that on a special album, people want the CD as a keepsake. (What a retro concept!)

Jackson’s total song download sales this week, including hits with his brothers, stand at 2.2 million downloads, down just a little from 2.6 million last week. A total of 47 songs that feature Jackson are listed on the Hot Digital Songs chart. (This is down just a bit from last week’s eye-popping total of 50.)

Number Ones racked up the biggest weekly sales total in Nielsen/SoundScan history for a catalog album (excluding Christmas albums). Jackson also held the old record, which he set in February 2008, when Thriller 25 sold 166,000 copies in its first week. Number Ones also posted the biggest one-week sales tally for an album by a deceased performer since the Notorious B.I.G.’s Duets: The Final Chapter debuted in December 2005 with first-week sales of 438,000.

Number Ones has sold 564,000 copies so far this year, which puts it at #18 on Nielsen/SoundScan’s running list of the best-selling albums of 2009. If it keeps going like this, it could topple Taylor Swift’s Fearless as the #1 album for the year-to-date. (Fearless has sold 1,352,000 copies since Jan. 1.) This will (in all likelihood) be only the third time in Nielsen/SoundScan history that an album by a deceased performer has ranked among the year’s top 10. 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me was the #6 album of 1996 (he died on Sept. 13 of that year). The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death was the #6 album of 1997 (he died on March 9 of that year).

Number Ones holds at #1 on the Catalog Albums chart. (Catalog albums are albums that are more than 18 months old, have fallen below #100 on The Billboard 200 and don’t have a current radio single.) Jackson owns the entire top 10 this week, counting a Jackson 5 album. The Essential Michael Jackson holds at #1 on the Digital Albums chart. The collection sold 53,000 digital copies this week.

Susan Boyle -- Singer -- Britains Got Talent 2009 (With Lyrics)

47 Year old Susan Boyle wows the judges with her performance in the auditions for Britains Got Talent, singing I dreamed a dream from Les Miserables.

Here are the Lyrics(Thanks to NewHotdox) -

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.

And still I dream he’ll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather…

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seems
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.
